The Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED) collects data on conflict events around the world. I have used their data on Afghanistan, which they have collected for 2017 and 2018 only.
I have only summarized three dimensions of the data but there is a lot more to uncover in this data. I have setup filters (combo box drop down), which you can use to drilldown or slice down the data to a more granular level. For example, on the second page (Incidents by Location), select a province to zoom into that province related incidents only. These incidents are coloured differently based on its grouping such as ‘violence against civilians’ or ‘Battle’.
